FACTORS AND MULTIPLES

First things first: a factor is like an integer "ingredient" of another number.

It's ANY natural number that evenly goes into another number. For example, the factors of 24 are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, and 24. The largest factor of a number is the number itself (24 in our example), because every number multiplied by 1 is the original number.

A multiple is a number of which OUR number is the ingredient!

There are infinite multiples of a number, because there are infinite positive integers that you could multiply the starting number with (multiple kinda sounds like multiply, right?). Multiples of 12 are 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, 96.....etc. Notice that the smallest multiple is always the number itself!
